I’ve been doing some thinking, plotting, and talking with others and have decided that going forward the Lance Leader and Company Commander poses are going to change. They will now be poseable parts instead. Mech Jock will stay with the single poses that they have right now.
The models will be broken into arms, legs, pelvis and torso section so you can either glue or piece them together in 3D Builder to create the loadout. So if the variant has three different load outs for the left arm then you would get multiple poses for that arm and each loadout it has.
So, if it has one version with a PPC, one with a Large Laser and one with a Snub Nose PPC then there would be (for example) three poses for each totaling nine arm parts.
Let me know if you like this idea, I’ll be trying it out with the Rook and then we can refine it as we go.
I like it, I do this all the time with Metal Core Collectibles models.
I’m going to do my best to make it a flexible setup for the best variety of options. We will see how it goes. I am sure I will end up tweaking things the more I learn on it.
I personally love modularity so I think this is great news. I’m not normally big on Jihad or later designs but the Rook is pretty fun, so I’m looking forward to seeing how you bring it to life. That combo of rounded plus slab-sided can look great or goofy depending on the designer.
Well, I kinda HAVE to do the rook, ya know… it’s in the name and all 😀
Hopefully looks great when I’m done, otherwise the shame….
as a fan of modulation I like this idea, I do like how you will still be offering the monopose figures as well via the Mech Jock line so I can still print some without having to mess woth the modulation if I’m not feeling like it.
Also on a sode note as a follower of Blake’s Word I yearn for Jihad ear designs.
