The Winner

With the poll here and Patreon added up, we have a winner and it is….

The Goliath.

So I will do everything in my power to get that set up for January as well as getting mechs in the queue for February and March

February I will have it up here as well as MMF for those who want to switch over before the final close. Then in March it will all be over at MMF going forward.

Operation

The news is now that I will be going in for surgery on January 12th. They are going to do a bypass that, according to the surgeon, should improve my heart function and get the dormant part of my heart working again.

Apparently there is a chance that it might not kick back into action but he said he is very confident. There are, of course, risks, but it was another part that he was confident about. The largest is that my kidneys could be affected and stop working, but he said that is a very, very small risk. Still kinda scary though. OK, a LOT scary. My sister was on dialysis for years before she passed and I really don’t even want to think of that.

I will be out for a few months recovering so I am going to try and get a few models pre-loaded for release so that there is a February and March model set up and ready to go automatically (February will be on here and on MMF I’ll be setting up Jan, Feb and March is the goal) . I’ll be working on getting models out from now until I go into the hospital.

If you are of a mind to pray, I would really appreciate it. God has given me many, many blessing in my life and I am grateful for all of them.

Hatchetman

Medical Update

Hola everyone!

To keep you all updated on this wonderful fun I am having, I had an appointment with my cardiologist yesterday and now I have another echocardiogram on Monday and I talk with the surgical team on Thursday of next week.

So, I may be having the surgery sooner than I expected. I am trying to stave it off until after Christmas, but we will see how that falls. I would much rather my kids not have a memory of dad being in the hospital while they are unwrapping presents and all that.

The big issue is going to be the models and releases. I was told that I will be in the hospital for at least a week and then will have to rest for a few weeks after that to heal up. Since my office is upstairs I guess I won’t be doing too many stairs for a bit.

I will try and have some models lined up for release for you all (that is what I am cranking on this week) but if I need to, I will pause your monthly subscriptions if I can’t get anything out.

But in any event I will do my best to keep you all updated.

Mr Chop Chop and the Turkey

Good morning, everyone! I hope you all are ready for Thanksgiving. I myself will be making some pies later today and tomorrow. Dutch Apple and Pumpkin are on the menu, along with some Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Also, I am currently working on the Hatchetman (aka – Mr Chop-chop) and should have that done by the weeks end. Coming up tomorrow will be the post with the new poll on what I should make after the Hatchetman so make sure to look for that one.

WEBSITE AND MMF – On the interwebs side of things, I am working on setting up my Tribes account on MyMiniFactory and will be rolling that out in January with the Coffee Club, Mech Jock, and Lance Leader tiers. I am considering putting the Company Commander one on there, but I am not sure so give me input on that if you think I should expand it over there or just keep it here.

The reason I am doing this, for those who are not aware, is because I will be shuttering White Rook Studios website by the end of February. The upkeep is time consuming and that is time I would rather be making models. Also, MMF now offers many of the features I put on the website (like memberships and permanent discounts) that were unavailable when I first started my website.

So, in short, I can do many of the same things over there that I do on my own and it takes the upkeep cost and time at a minimum.

What does this mean for you? Well, on Patreon, not a lot. I have put the discount codes for MMF in the email you get when you sign up for a Patreon membership, so you should all have that (if not, let me know) but if you have models on the White Rook Studios site then you WILL want to download them before the end of February.

Once the WooCommerce plug ins are shut off, you will not be able to log in at all and I will not be able to open it either. WooCommerce is, sadly, too expensive to keep that going so please BACK UP YOUR MODELS!!!

I will keep posting warnings (and models) as we get closer to the end, and the beginning.
