Holes

Good morning! I was informed that the 6R seems to have a hole in the middle of the model so I am going back over all of them to double check and fix. If you are having no problems with printing, awesome! But if you are, I am getting this worked out.

I have no idea why this model is giving me such problems converting to STL when I have made it the same way I do every other model. Must be because my printer is on the way.

Updates

Greetings Mechwarriors!!!

So here is what is happening around Casa Rook!  First, I am back to hammering away on the Sabutai.  Took some down time for the holidays to rest, have some family time, and recharge the brain but now I am back in creative mode.

Aerospace are a bit harder in some ways than mechs are.  more round curves to deal with and with this one being an Omni-Fighter, I have to fit in magnets and weapons pods, so it’s taking a bit longer.

To fill in while I wrestle with it, I am building the Banshee.  I just started on that and realized that the cockpit reminds me of this

Soooooo…. yeah.  The Banshee is a First Order mech.  Who knew, right?

Also, I am messing with that last tutorial video.  Yes, still.  But I am closer to having it done.  Next one I do I have a better idea of how to put it together from the start to make editing easier.

Anyway, that’s where it stands for now.  Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Birthday to Me

September 30th was my birthday and I got to celebrate it by putting together a new desk my wife got for me. My old desk was put together as a temporary solution about six years ago when I started working from home part time. The idea was I could put this one together in the shop really quick with materials I already had and then make something better later on.

Well, one think got in the way of another and I never got around to building something better. I will say, it had a LOT of usable space but it kinda dominated the room. The new desk, well, lets just say it is very cool and does everything I need it to do and has space to hold everything I need.

And yes, it even has a cupholder. There are LED lights on the riser shelves that I need to hook up, but I’m pretty happy with how it is right now so I am going to get back to work finishing the Dragon and working on the other two.

Quick Note

Hey everyone!

I just want to apologize for the Victor taking as long as it has.  Life has just been super busy with work and family but I am almost finished with it all.  I am doing the last poses right now.

I only have the 9K2 and the 9Ka to finish and then it will be ready.  So a total of ten variants this time with a second pose for everyone on the Lance Leader and Company Commander level here.

Again, thank you for all the support.  I’m going to try and get ramped back up to pushing out two models a month going forward but I just had a lot on my plate this time around.

Now Back to Our Regularly Scheduled Modeling….

Took a short break over the weekend and through today so I didn’t burn myself into the ground (which I seem to do). So, now that I have fortified myself on episodes of This Old House and hours of Red Dead Redemption 2 (just got it… yeah, I’m behind the times) I am getting back to the work that needs to be done.

Sorry that I had to do that. I’ve been doing serious overtime because I have five new trainees on my team and I lost all of my experienced people that I would have relied on to help train them. My other associates just aren’t there yet so it’s all on me.
