Rook

Changing and confusing times. Changes to how I am doing the models, changes to the renders, heck, there are even changes to the color shading!

But, I hope that these changes are something you all like and make your gaming experience all that much better. I’ll be smoothing things out with the Lance Leader versions through the rest of the year. That means making parts versions of models and releasing those and the Mech Jock versions as well as going back to older models and updating them.

For this months model, I am pretty happy with it. My son saw it and said “What, the original Urbie wasn’t ugly enough so they had to make it bigger?” Which I think is pretty accurate..

Weekend

I am just going to say this week was freaking LONG! How does that happen that time just drags by even while I don’t have enough of it. At my regular job I had all kinds of stuff hit the fan, including an issue that it looks like I am going to have to go back to the client and apologize for (even though it wasn’t my fault I am the guy in charge so….) and at the part time one it was like tweeker central on Friday.

Now I am finishing the Rook, finally, got all the parts versions done and I am making the posed models for the Mech Jock setup. Had a few hiccups with the modeling and exporting, but I am getting into a rhythm with the new process now, so that is helping.

I hope you all like the new Lance Leader parts modeling, it does take a little more time but I think it’s worth it. All I have left is to pose the last models and then do the supports. Should be done by tomorrow.

Feeling Better

Well, it feels like everything is now resolved. I’m not feeling dragged out or light headed anymore. Scary part was that I couldn’t remember words and my right eye’s field of vision was almost non existent. My field of vision was only like 30 degrees for a day or two.

I have never had anything this bad before that just snuck up and kicked my ass. I’ve been sick plenty of times, but heat exhaustions is a scary dang thing since you don’t realize you are there until you’ve already passed the warning signs.

Thankfully, I am tougher than a two dollar steak (I said that to my wife and she gave me the look) so I am back on the Rook and also working on making parts models of older stuff that I wanted to update anyway.

The goal now is to update all the images for the new look so that everything is looking good and at the same time to update the old models to parts models. Just going to start from the A’s and go to the end. It won’t take as long as making a model from the beginning, so I am hoping to get one or two a month along with the normal stuff.

Thank you all for the well wishes and I promise to take care of myself and keep myself going. I got four kids and my wife to think of and take care of so I am not planning on going anywhere for a long time.

Feeling the Heat

Well, I have been having a lot of fun this weekend. Friday I got heat exhaustion and with that I started having vision problems to go with everything else. My right eye started having a narrow range of vision so I wasn’t having any peripheral vision at all. That was some scary shit.

It has been resolving but for three days I have had a splitting headache that was right behind my eye and didn’t matter what I did it just kept throbbing.

All that is a long way to say that I was trying to get the Rook done but I’m not ten feet tall and bullet proof anymore. I seems to have become a mortal somehow.

I’m getting back on it now and finishing up other small things that have been requested. I am sorry for the delays but I am back on top of things.
